Hi Matt,
The example has been thoroughly tested and proven to work. If you're having trouble with the GitHub download, note that the GitHub download popup window does not automatically close. Check your download folder for the downloaded contents. If you can't get the project to compile, make sure you've set up your classpaths correctly.

Best,
Peng

for one your downloader never disappears when its complete, two your tutorial doesnt work, i tried to download multiple times and no go. Your tutorial is not very valid if it doesnt compile. Can you please fix this issue so i can see a working version.

Best tutorial I've seen for PureMVC yet. Caringorm seems to have more documentation and tutorials, but is somehow lesser known than PureMVC. I guess it's because Adobe is in it's corner. I'm on the fence about which is best, but I think I am now at least prepared to take a shot at making my own simple MVC app.

In PureMVC, the View (represented by the Mediator) should never directly operate on the Model (represented by the Proxy). Any changes to the Model (the data property in the Proxy) should be done via a Controller (represented by a Command). The Mediator, is however, free to retrieve values from the Model by calling the retrieveProxy() method via the Facade.
